What spans are achievable with composite floor deck?
Depending on the gauge and profile depth, composite deck can span 6 to 15 feet unshored. Shored construction can achieve even longer spans. Our engineers provide span tables and calculations specific to your project.
Are shear studs required with composite deck?
For composite behavior between the slab and supporting steel beams, shear studs are typically required. For composite behavior between the deck and concrete alone, the embossed profile provides the mechanical connection.
